Founder and President
Hallmark Homecare founder Steve Everhart brings a wealth of experience from his years of leadership in the senior care field. In 1999, Steve created The Senior’s Choice®, which has since grown in the largest and most recognizable membership network of independent senior care providers in the world. Through The Senior’s Choice, hundreds of successful agencies in North America and around the globe have served tens of thousands of families who were seeking help to care for loved ones. Steve is also an owner of Sequoia Senior Solutions LLC, headquartered in Petaluma, California and Encore Senior Home Care located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Steve has first-hand experience with caring for his ageing parents and knows the home care industry intimately and the many issues facing families and their elderly love ones. He developed Hallmark Homecare for those families who want a lower cost option; to maintain decision-making control regarding care issues; to ensure greater continuity of caregivers and to enjoy a stronger direct bond with the caregiver. Since its inception a few years ago, the response to Hallmark Homecare has been overwhelming and is a disruptive force to the traditional agency model of care, as families seek a more affordable alternative to in-home care and caregivers seek higher wages.

VP of Training and Franchise Development
Peter Droubay is an experienced executive and corporate trainer, with over 20 years of experience in senior care. As one of the founding executives in The Senior’s Choice, he helped to develop the company and the franchise. He developed all of the training, most of the systems and procedures, and much of the marketing. Over 15 years, he trained close to 700 franchisees.
Over the last five years, Peter has been in charge of hiring, training, and B2B sales at Caring.com, one of the largest online lead generation platforms for the senior care industry. In this role, he worked with every leading senior care community and agency in the country. He also developed all of the Caring.com’s internal training and hired and trained over 200 of their family advisors who work directly with families to find the care they need. Together with others on their executive team, Peter helped to grow the company dramatically and bring it to profitablility.
Peter’s background also includes work in the financial industry, as he started his career as an investment advisor and stock broker for a Wall St. brokerage firm. He then worked for world-renowned speaker and author, Tony Robbins for 8 years, helping to grow his organization from obscurity to world-wide fame. He then founded Salestrainer.com and helped companies around the world to grow their sales and their sales teams. Along the way, he had huge successes in the worlds of commercial real estate and wholesale mortgage.
His passion now is to disrupt the in-home care industry with a better way to approach the business. Hallmark Homecare is an idea whose time has come and promises to elevate care standards while lowering the costs for families around the country who are struggling to afford the high costs of senior care.
General Manager and Lead Care Coordinator
With 20 years of experience in healthcare, Angelica views her work as a focused mission to serve others, especially older adults. The evidence of her success is expressed not only by grateful clients but also by co-workers who attest to spot-on work. Her personal and professional confidence is contagious as she supports franchisees and other team members as the General Manager of Hallmark Homecare.
Significant career accomplishments include many years in executive positions in long-term care facilities, home care, care management, and extensive work as a Certified Professional Legal Guardian. Angelica provides guidance, care, and compassion to our members, clients, and their families. She has worked in both staff and supervisory roles and knows the realities and limitations of any given crisis or issue. In her downtime, Angelica enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends and we can’t forget her dogs!
Director of Operations
Kelly was raised, in part, by her grandparents and developed a love for her elders at an early age. She wanted to make this passion her career and has a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration with an emphasis in Gerontology. Initially, she focused on roles in senior care facility settings, managing nursing homes, assisted living communities, memory care, and hospice but eventually realized the tremendous need for quality care at home.
She took a position as an Administrator for a home care agency in Minneapolis, MN. After years of successfully managing the agency and helping launch a sister company, Kelly and her husband, Mark, decided to relocate to Fargo, ND to be closer to family. She has been part of Hallmark Homecare corporate team ever since.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Kelly enjoying time with her husband and little girls or working on a plethora of artistic projects. One of the messages her grandma instilled in her was, “Always strive to leave the world better than you found it”.
Michael McLain founded Altus Recruiting in 1996 and has served as the President since inception. He and his Executive Recruiting Team focus on niches with Commercial Banking & Real Estate / Asset Management.
Despite his success with Altus Recruiting, Michael developed a love of the in-home senior care business, initially because of the needs of his own senior family members. This led to the formation of his own agency, which is a member of The Senior’s Choice. It was through this experience that he came in contact with the team a Hallmark Homecare and began assisting them in the formation of the business.
Michael also brings a wealth of other experience with him. From 1987 to 1996 Michael McLain served in sales and sales leadership roles with Xerox Corporation, Penske Corporation and Ciox (formerly Healthport). In 1987 Michael McLain graduated with a Bachelors Degree from UCLA.
Michael resides with his wife, Wendi, in Orange County, CA and they have 3 sons who play college and / or professional baseball.
